N.S.C. HISTORY

Founded by Ex Vintage dealer, Neil Starr, North Sea Clothing was born from 1 jumper. Born from a desire to make a worthy replica of the Royal Navy War Issue Submariner jumper. The Original Vintage versions that Neil used to sell at London’s Portobello Market, were getting hard to find.

The NSC Submariner is made with the same British Wool as the Royal Navy jumpers. The choice of material was crucial. A yarn renown for it’s ultra-insulating properties and rugged durability. (Now all NSC men’s jumpers are made with this wool).

The result was a garment with quality and style, which garnered the Brand’s reputation and has attracted a dedicated following. Growing demand has inspired an increasing range of products, each, tested by Neil, and each considered to be the best that they can be.

Designs which draw inspiration from Neil’s archive of Vintage Military and cold weather gear, are now tweaked if necessary, for modern comfort and allure. All garments are built to withstand the most challenging weather conditions.

North Sea Clothing has captured the hearts of those who appreciate well made products with sustainability and good looks. Garments that will stand the test of time.
Now a family business with a small team, North Sea Clothing prides itself on personal customer service in an increasingly impersonal world.
A note from us, Neil and Tamara.
"If you have read this far then thank you! We try our best in every area of the business from product design, materials, manufacturing, to wrapping and packing your order, and customer satisfaction. Don't hesitate to get in touch. We love feedback! Good feedback obviously, but also bad, if it may be constructive.
...and send us a picture of you in your NSC gear. We love to see!
Keep warm.
