To arrange a return, or if the item you received is faulty or is not what you ordered, please email firstname.lastname@example.org quoting your name and address, details of the product, the reason for return and whether you require a refund or replacement. We will then advise on how to proceed with the return.
We will refund or exchange unworn items returned in the same condition as they were sent, provided we are contacted within 14 days of delivery and the item is returned to us within 21 days of delivery with your order number or name included in the parcel. We will refund you the purchase price excluding the original postage cost.
We will not exchange goods that have been worn, do not have their original packing and tags or show signs of abuse. In this instance, the goods will be returned to the buyer at their own cost.
Return postage must be paid for by the customer for all exchanges or purchase refunds (including for those where the first postage may have been free of charge.) The item is your responsibility until it reaches us.
Customers outside the UK, please mark ‘RETURNED GOODS’ on the package as we will not be responsible for the UK customs duty. We do not accept any returns sent via FedEx due to their import and handling charges. Any return sent via FedEx will be refused and returned to sender.
It is not possible to refund any import fees as these are charges imposed by a third party (either the shipper, or Customs in the destination country).
For your own protection, we recommend that you send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods. We cannot be held responsible for returns that are lost in transit.
In the interests of fraud prevention, your refund will be issued by the same method that you paid within 28 days or receipt of the return.
We will refund or exchange any faulty item within 28 days of delivery, including postage costs. To arrange a return please email us with details of your order and a picture of the fault if possible.

Please note that any shipment that is automatically returned to us for refusal to pay import fees, will be charged an Export Return Fee. This fee may vary by country but will be approximately £13, deducted from any refund given. Please get in touch if you would like more information on this.
To arrange an exchange please email us with details of your order.
The item/s must first be sent back in their original, unworn condition and then we can organise the exchange. All products to be returned must be carefully repackaged in their original packing with your order number or name included in the parcel. Exchange postage costs are the responsibility of the customer and would be invoiced through PayPal prior to delivery.
If your delivery has been delayed, then please contact us and we will advise based on information provided by the delivery company.
We cannot refund or replace lost items until 20 working days after the date of dispatch (30 days for international items) – this is when the Royal Mail classes items as being lost.
International delivery – When items are sent to another country, your parcel is often handled by more than one postal service. Unfortunately, this means delivery problems are more likely. When we send a parcel abroad, the actual delivery of the item will be the responsibility of the postal service in the country the items are going to. Delays can be caused by customs checks, which can sometimes take up to 1-2 weeks.
Items not received but tracked as being delivered – This can happen when the items are delivered to places of work or buildings with multiple door numbers. In some cases, your item might have been delivered to a post room or someone else will have signed for it. Please note that we do not refund or replace items that are tracked as being delivered. For this reason, we always recommend that you get items delivered to a home or work address where you can personally sign for the parcel.
Cost of re-delivery for missed parcels is the responsibility of the customer.

North Sea clothing offers an extensive range of sizes providing you with the most comfortable fit. Our sizing is your chest size in inches. If you are unsure of your N.S.C size, take a measurement around your chest at your underarm in inches with a soft tape measure. Our clothing fits true to size, if you prefer a loose fit, we suggest you order a size up. Refer to the size guides below for further measurements.
Knitwear sizing is equal to the chest measurement of the garment, underarm to underarm x2 in inches.
Outerwear is sized to allow room for ease of wear. We recommend ordering the size labelled as your chest size.
We recommend comparing the measurements below to a pair of well fitting trousers you already own to ensure you order the best fit.
Our Marine Type 2 shoe is a standard to wide fit.
The chest measurement is taken from armpit to armpit on a flat surface. Length is taken from highest shoulder point to hem and sleeve is from highest shoulder point to cuff.
